Verdient Science Publishes on Δ8-THC Nanoemulsion Pharmacokinetics

In recent years, there has been a rise in the utilization of the cannabinoid Δ8-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ8-THC). Considering the slow and inconsistent oral absorption of cannabinoids in oil formulations, nanoemulsions could offer an enhanced delivery method.

In collaboration with Alexey Peshkovsky from Industrial Sonomechanics, Verdient Science assessed the pharmacokinetics of two Δ8-THC nanoemulsions in rats and compared them to a typical medium chain triglyceride (MCT) oil solution.

Verdient and Sonomechanics published the results in an article in AAPS PharmSciTech titled “Pharmacokinetics of Two Nanoemulsion Formulations of Δ8-Tetrahydrocannabinol in Rats” .
